Chen Xiao Mao Cafe & Bar
Chen Xiao Mao, earlier known as Xu Xiao Mao de Dian, is a small cat-themed cafe and bar inside the Changle Cun residential lanes off South Shaanxi Road in Huangpu, a short walk from South Shaanxi Road station. It has run for close to ten years under a Taiwanese owner. A few resident cats, former strays, wander the room and climb onto empty chairs; they are shy, and staff hand out treats so guests can win them over. It works as a coffee shop by day and a cocktail bar at night, with homemade cakes and cookies. The entrance is hard to find inside the lane, so calling ahead helps.
