Catfeine Cat Cafe
Catfeine Cat Cafe is a cat lounge and foster home on Cason Lane in Murfreesboro, southeast of Nashville, where 15 to 20 adoptable cats from local rescue groups live cage-free while they wait for homes. Visits are one hour, charged per person, with up to 12 guests per hour; reservations are strongly encouraged and walk-ins are taken only when space allows. Guests must be 10 or older to book, and children aged 7 to 9 can come with an adult for a short walk-in visit when it is quiet. Shoes come off before entering, so socks are needed. It is not a full cafe: a self-serve bean-to-cup coffee machine, cold drinks and packaged snacks are sold, and drinks go into the lounge with lids. The cafe has a gift shop and holds events such as bingo nights.

Cattyshack
Huntsville, Alabama78 mi / 126 km
Cattyshack is a nonprofit cat rescue with a cat lounge in Studio 1062 of Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, the converted cotton mill full of artist studios and galleries in west Huntsville. The rescue, founded in 2019, keeps its cats in foster homes and brings a rotating group of adoptable cats and kittens into the home-style lounge on Fridays and Saturdays, so visitors can play with them or simply relax in their company without any plan to adopt. Reservations are required and are made online with a set donation per person. Adoptions start with a non-binding application and are processed by volunteers, so cats are not taken home on the same day. The lounge is reached through Door 2 of Lowe Mill, with an accessible entrance at Door 4, and a visit is easy to combine with a walk through the studios.

The Handsome Cat Café & Adoption Center
Owensboro, Kentucky138 mi / 221 km
The Handsome Cat Café & Adoption Center is a cat lounge in The Thatch shopping center on Sweeney Street in Owensboro, between Art Lab Owensboro and Moonbow Apothecary. It is run by Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky (SparKY), a nonprofit founded in 2006. Opened in July 2026 as Owensboro's first cat cafe, it gives the rescue's adoptable cats and kittens a calm place to meet people, and only cats that are fully vetted, vaccinated and fixed are brought in, so numbers vary. Visitors pay a small admission fee and can book online or come in during opening hours, generally Wednesday to Sunday from morning to mid-afternoon. No food or drinks are served, apart from bags of Kitty Town Coffee for sale, but guests may bring their own. Adoptions follow SparKY's standard process and fees, and the lounge can be rented for parties and workshops.
