Prefiro Gato - Café & RonRon is a cat cafe in Praia da Costa, Vila Velha, run alongside Prefiro Gato, a veterinary clinic for cats at the same address. The cafe has a cat-themed dining area with a few indoor tables and outdoor seating, and a separate cat room that works as a foster home for rescued cats. Visitors pay a fee for 20-minute sessions in the cat room and must follow the house rules. The cats come from the rescue group Gateirices and are tested for FIV and FeLV, vaccinated and neutered before they join the room, and they stay until they are adopted. The menu includes waffle boards, toasts, empanadas, cheesecake, specialty coffees and cat-named drinks such as the Miauccino and Chocomiau. The cafe opens on weekday afternoons and all day at weekends, and is closed on Mondays.
