Purrfect Café is a cat café with an adoption programme on Sveagatan in Linnéstaden, Gothenburg, near Skansen Kronan. It opened in September 2021 as the city's first cat café, founded by Alice and Rebecca, who both spent many years working in animal hospitals. Around ten rehomed cats, many of them adult pairs given up by previous owners, live in the cat suite while they wait for new families; each is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and insured, and visitors can apply to adopt them. The number of guests in the cat suite is limited, so visits are best booked online, although drop-in is possible when there is space. The entry fee includes coffee, tea and cake, with vegan and gluten-free options. The minimum age is ten. The business also runs a cat hotel and holds cat yoga and other events, and the café is open Wednesday to Sunday.
