At ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌The Mountain is a resort, restaurant and cafe in Lan Sak, Uthai Thani, tucked against a mountainside in the forested Hub Pa Tad valley. It has a cat cafe area where entry is 49 baht, and the energetic young cats are used to people, with some happy to settle on a lap. The restaurant has both air-conditioned rooms and open-air seating, serving Thai dishes, coffee and desserts with views of the hills, and there is a live-music bar. A friendly Labrador also roams the grounds and loves to play with guests. Pool-villa rooms and a saltwater pool make it easy to stay overnight, and the setting makes it an unusual stop for anyone who is tired of city cafes.
