Kotofeynya

Kotofeynya is a rescue cat cafe on Militsionnaya Street in central Izhevsk, a few minutes' walk from the DK Aksion stop. It is a small space where many cats rescued from the street live while waiting for new families, and visitors can apply to adopt them after a conversation with the staff about how the cat will be kept. The owners keep separate quarantine areas for new and recovering cats, and the cats have plenty of beds, toys and even a small balcony. On arrival guests wash their hands, change their shoes and are told the house rules; children are expected to treat the cats gently. Visitors may bring food or toys for the cats as gifts, after checking with the staff what is suitable. The cafe is open from Wednesday to Sunday.
