Baannai Homestay & Flower Tea
Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai
Baannai Homestay & Flower Tea is a small Japanese-style tea cafe and three-room homestay in Mae Ho Phra, Mae Taeng, in the hills north of Chiang Mai. The cafe sits in a quiet garden with an indoor room and a shaded outdoor area that is not air-conditioned, and it is known for matcha, Thai-blend teas, toast, bagels and bakery items, with simple made-to-order dishes as well. Cats wander among the tables and the garden, so there are usually several to play with, and the property also offers a cat hotel for boarding. The owner is warm and chatty, and the atmosphere is calm, more a slow afternoon with tea and cats than a busy cat lounge. Rooms are available for overnight stays.
Cute Cat At Home
Chiang Mai
Cute Cat At Home is a small pet cafe in a residential soi of the Siri Wattana Niwet housing estate in Nong Hoi, southeast of Chiang Mai's old town. About 15 cats live here, from big fluffy ones to a couple of tiny, lively kittens, and most are affectionate enough to climb onto visitors without any treats. A few dogs, including a corgi, share the space. Since reopening in late October 2026 it takes visitors by reservation only, so book through its Facebook page first. Entry has been 129 baht including one drink, and the menu has matcha and other drinks plus snacks. Board games are available for groups, and shoes come off at the door. The owner is friendly and talkative, and the rooms are clean and free of odour.

Cats World Cafe
Chai Nat
Cats World Cafe is a cat cafe in the centre of Chai Nat, on Soi Phasi Sung 1 in the Nai Mueang area. A crowd of friendly cats rushes over to greet visitors the moment the door opens and climbs onto laps without any need for treats, and children enjoy it a lot. The menu covers coffee, tea and other drinks, at reasonable prices. The business also runs a pet shop with grooming and a cat hotel, so there are always cats around and the staff know them well. The owner is welcoming and happy to introduce the cats, and the cafe regularly posts videos of its cats on TikTok under the name Cats World Cafe. It is easy to combine with a stop in the town centre.
Fin Cafe (Cat & Dog)
Lamphun
Fin Cafe (Cat & Dog) is a pet cafe in Lamphun town where cats and dogs have rooms of their own to play in. There is no entry fee or time-limited ticket: each guest simply orders one item, with drinks starting at 59 baht, and can spend time with the animals. The cats include plenty of lively kittens, and both cats and dogs are friendly and affectionate. Only the animal rooms are air-conditioned, so the rest of the cafe is simple and best for a short play session. The menu covers coffee, other drinks and snacks, and the doors open at 10:30. The cafe moved to this address in 2026 from its earlier site, where it was called Fin Cafe Chill & Camp.
Check each cafe's website for current hours, booking requirements and age restrictions before visiting.
