青牛咖啡館
Taichung City
Qingniu Cafe (青牛咖啡館) is a reservation-only cafe in a residential lane at 22 Lane 683, Section 1, Zhongyang Road in Wuqi District, on the Taichung coast. The owner has taken in about sixteen stray cats, and they live in the cafe, with litter trays tucked around the room but little smell. The cats are well fed, mostly friendly and keen to climb into laps, so sitting on a camp chair is a good way to attract one. The owner chats about how each cat came to the cafe and offers cat snacks for guests to buy. Seating is small, so booking is required. The minimum is one drink, around NT$100, and visitors can stay a long time when it is quiet. The menu has coffee, brownies, cakes and yogurt drinks.
