Kitty Cantina is a cat cafe with a drive-thru coffee window on North Nevada Street in north Spokane, in the Shiloh Hills area. Opened in June 2020 by Justyn and Tori Cozza as Spokane's first cat cafe, it works with the shelter SpokAnimal, which supplies all of its cats. Usually around 8 to 12 adoptable cats and kittens, more during kitten season, live cage-free in the Kitty Lounge, a glass-walled room beside the cafe. Lounge visits are paid 45-minute sessions booked online, and walk-in sessions are announced on social media on some weekdays. Regular sessions are for ages 14 and up, family sessions admit children from 8, and private group visits can be booked. The lounge is closed on Mondays. Food is not allowed with the cats, but adults may bring drinks. The cafe serves espresso drinks, tea and breakfast sandwiches. Adoptions go through SpokAnimal after an overnight waiting period.
