This cozy retreat invites guests to enjoy a full-service coffee shop experience before stepping into a charming cat lounge, where hourly sessions allow visitors to unwind with 20 to 30 adoptable rescue cats, many from trap-neuter-return (TNR) projects, while supporting their care and adoption. Originally launched as La Gattara in Tempe, the café transitioned to a nonprofit model, relocating to Phoenix and facilitating over 215 adoptions by Fall 2023, with a mission to connect cats with loving homes through community events like yoga and trivia, plus free behavior consultations for adopters. PHX Cat Café offers a purr-fect blend of relaxation, community, and feline welfare in the heart of Arizona's capital.
