Pomurchim is a cat cafe on Sovetskaya Street in central Orenburg, on the ground floor of number 11 near the Sovetskaya stop. It describes itself as the only cat cafe in the city. Around 15 cats live there, most of them rescued from the street, and the cafe looks for new homes for them, so visitors can arrange to adopt a cat they meet. It works as a time cafe: guests pay for the time they stay, and tea, coffee, board games and a games console are available during the visit. Cat treats can be bought at the counter for visitors to give to the cats. Shoes are taken off at the entrance, and staff explain the house rules before the visit. The cafe is open every day and runs on visitor fees and donations, including a fundraiser for its rent.
