Rescue Cat Cafe Kukuru no Mori
Nishitokyo
Rescue Cat Cafe Kukuru no Mori is an adoption cat cafe in Hibarigaoka Kita, Nishitokyo, on the second floor of a building about one minute on foot from the North Exit of Hibarigaoka Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. Its cats are rescues looking for permanent homes, and recent arrivals have included cats brought from Miyakojima in Okinawa. Visits are booked in one-hour slots with up to five guests per slot and can be extended in 30-minute units, with slightly higher rates on weekends and holidays. Walk-ins are accepted, but reservations through the website or by phone get priority and are recommended on weekends. Adoption starts with meeting a cat at the cafe, followed by an application, an interview and a home check before a formal contract. The cafe opens every afternoon, closing temporarily only when the cats' health requires it, and it also holds kitten adoption events.
