NOLA Cat Lounge
New Orleans, Louisiana
NOLA Cat Lounge is a cat lounge and gift shop on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard in Central City, New Orleans, a few blocks from the National WWII Museum. It opened in early 2026, the first cat cafe in the city since the Crescent City Cat Club closed in 2021. More than 20 adoptable cats live in a lounge decorated with Mardi Gras colors and local touches. They come from A Tail In Need Animal Rescue, NOLA Kitten Nursery and Big Easy Animal Rescue, and adoptions are handled by each cat's rescue, with young kittens placed in pairs. Visits last up to an hour; booking online is cheaper and guarantees entry, while shorter walk-in visits depend on space. Babies under one year enter free, and guests under 16 must stay with an adult. The lounge hosts cat yoga, cat bingo and paint parties, and the boutique sells cat-themed and New Orleans gifts.
