CATZY Cat Café
Morelia, Michoacan
CATZY Cat Café is a rescue cat cafe on Calle Rayón in the historic center of Morelia, close to the Mercado de Dulces and the small Plazuela de La Soterraña. It opened on International Cat Day in August 2025 and keeps around 13 rescued cats of many colours and temperaments that roam freely among the tables. All of them are available for adoption: their names and profiles are posted on the walls, and adopters present an ID, proof of address and photos of the home, with follow-up by the city's animal protection institute (IMPA). The menu plays on cat names, from the CATpuchino and MEOWca to michi-molletes, salads, nachos and mini cakes, and there are board games for longer stays. House rules ask guests to let the cats come to them, and children must be accompanied by an adult. The cafe is open every day.
