Mini Cat Town Milpitas
Milpitas, California
Mini Cat Town Milpitas is a kitten lounge and adoption center inside the Great Mall in Milpitas, a short walk from the Milpitas BART and VTA station. It belongs to Mini Cat Town, a nonprofit founded in 2015 by sisters Thi, Thoa and Tram Bui that rescues neonatal kittens from Bay Area shelters, raises them in foster homes and places them on its adoption floors once they are old enough and spayed or neutered. Guests pay per person for a 30-minute session in a play area where the kittens roam freely, and a few resident cats sometimes keep staff company at the front desk. Admission is walk-in only and subject to a waitlist at busy times. Visitors scan in, sign a waiver, sanitize and put on shoe covers before entering, and the last group goes in 30 minutes before closing. All kittens are available for adoption.
