Yunoyama Hogo Neko Cafe Matatabian
Komono
Yunoyama Hogo Neko Cafe Matatabian is a rescue cat cafe in a wooden, cottage-like building near Yunoyama Onsen Station in Komono, at the foot of the Suzuka Mountains, about 460 metres from the station. It opened in July 2016 to support trap-neuter-return work and find homes for rescued cats. After the original operator closed the cafe in June 2026, the Mie animal rescue group Dep took it over and reopened it on 15 August 2026, with its own rescued cats waiting for adoption. Visits are charged by time, with lower rates for children and seniors, and drinks are free. Visitors are asked to wear socks. Opening days and hours under the new management are posted on the cafe's Instagram account, so check there before visiting. There is parking on site.

Children of elementary school age and younger are not admitted, except for families applying to adopt.
