Baannai Homestay & Flower Tea is a small Japanese-style tea cafe and three-room homestay in Mae Ho Phra, Mae Taeng, in the hills north of Chiang Mai. The cafe sits in a quiet garden with an indoor room and a shaded outdoor area that is not air-conditioned, and it is known for matcha, Thai-blend teas, toast, bagels and bakery items, with simple made-to-order dishes as well. Cats wander among the tables and the garden, so there are usually several to play with, and the property also offers a cat hotel for boarding. The owner is warm and chatty, and the atmosphere is calm, more a slow afternoon with tea and cats than a busy cat lounge. Rooms are available for overnight stays.
