Cat Cafes in Dongcheng Qu, Beijing

Dongcheng Qu, Beijing

Sirena ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌(海妖酒吧) is a Mediterranean-style bar on Wudaoying Hutong in Dongcheng District, Beijing, a short walk from the Lama Temple (Yonghegong). It opened in late 2010 as one of the first businesses on the hutong. The two-story building is decorated in blue and white, with a small rooftop terrace. Several resident cats, strays the owner took in, wander between the tables and often settle next to or on guests. It is a bar rather than a dedicated cat cafe: there is no entry fee or time limit, and visitors simply order cocktails, beer or other drinks and a few snacks. It opens in the afternoon and stays open late into the night.
