The Tabby Tea Cat Lounge and Adoption Center, nestled within Cat Tales Feline Health Center in Davis, California, is Sacramento's pioneering cat cafe, opening its doors on December 16, 2024, at 606 W. Covell Blvd. This cozy retreat invites visitors to unwind with up to four adoptable cats from the Yolo County Animal Shelter and SPCA, offering a serene, fear-free space complete with complimentary coffee or boba tea and free Wi-Fi for $10 per hour. With reservations encouraged via phone or online, it caters to a diverse crowd, including UC Davis students seeking respite, while enforcing gentle rules like wand-toy play to prioritize feline comfort. Crafted by owners Julie Cole and Chris Shacoski, Tabby Tea blends relaxation, community support, and animal welfare into a welcoming experience.
