theRainyCats
theRainyCats is a tiny cafe on the second floor of an old collective housing block in ngõ 65 Vạn Bảo, in Ngọc Hà ward in the former Ba Đình district of Hanoi, furnished like a cosy apartment living room with warm lighting, sofas, high tables, board games and comics. Two or three plump resident cats live there; a reviewer in February 2026 counted three and noted that it is a cafe with cats rather than a cat cafe, and visitors don't always see them all. Drinks cost 40,000 to 60,000 VND in August 2026, with fresh juices and artichoke tea recommended, and water is free. The cafe is hard to find: visitors park in the block's courtyard for about 10,000 VND, of which the cafe has covered 5,000, walk about 50 metres to house 14A and climb the stairs opposite, under a black-cat sign; the entrance is unlit at night. Seats are few, so it is worth calling ahead at weekends. It opens daily from 9 AM to 10 PM.

Oleoleo Coffee & Cats Nguyễn Chí Thanh
Hanoi1.1 mi / 1.7 km
Oleoleo Coffee & Cats is the Nguyễn Chí Thanh branch of the Oleoleo cat cafe group, in building 5T2 off Ngõ 62 Nguyễn Chí Thanh in Láng, Đống Đa, Hanoi. The owners describe it as a place for cats, plants and figurine painting, and the air-conditioned room is filled with greenery and scented with incense. Its resident cats are famously round and well fed, among them a lazy hairless cat alongside several fluffy ones, and staff carry cats over to guests and keep a close eye on them. Visits are priced by the drink, and drinks cost slightly more than at an ordinary cafe. Books, board games and plaster statue painting keep visitors busy, and the quiet room is popular with students working on laptops. The cafe opens daily from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and its sister cafes are on Trúc Bạch and in Xuân La.

Hanoi1.4 mi / 2.2 km
Tiệm Cà Phê Mèo JennyMiaw is a cat cafe at 1144 Đường Láng in Láng, Đống Đa, Hanoi, and the first of two JennyMiaw branches; the second is on Nguyễn Ngọc Nại in Phương Liệt. More than 30 cats live with the group, most of them pedigree breeds: British Shorthairs and Longhairs, Ragdolls, Munchkins, Bengals, Maine Coons, Siamese, golden British cats and a Somali, each listed by name on the cafe's website. Entry works on a single ticket that covers time with the cats plus unlimited drinks and snacks, guests must be 10 or older, and the cafe keeps a stack of board games for groups. The cats are clean, well groomed and lively, though many only come running when someone opens a packet of dried chicken treats, and staff are protective of them when guests get rough. The business also runs a bathing and grooming spa for dogs and cats.
Katty Coffee
Hanoi1.6 mi / 2.5 km
Katty Coffee is a pet cafe at 61 Phố Nguyễn Bá Khoản in Yên Hòa, Cầu Giấy, Hanoi, where visitors share the room with a large group of resident cats along with a few dogs and rabbits. The cats are chubby, soft-coated and well cared for, and the cafe is known for its detailed rules: staff explain how to approach the animals when guests arrive, and the cats keep a set timetable for receiving visitors, with rest periods in between. Drinks and light snacks are served, and families with children are frequent visitors, though the room can feel cramped and warm when it is busy. Katty used to be on Phạm Huy Thông by Ngọc Khánh lake before settling at its current address. Besides the cafe, the business runs a pet hotel and a grooming spa for dogs and cats. It opens daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Ha Noi Cat Coffee: Good Cat Railway
Hanoi1.6 mi / 2.6 km
Ha Noi Cat Coffee: Good Cat Railway is a cat cafe at 29A Nguyễn Thái Học in Hanoi's Cửa Nam ward, beside the railway line near Train Street, with a window view of passing trains. The cats live in an upstairs room and include a big Maine Coon called Bigfoot, a short-legged cat and a tuxedo who meows a greeting at every new arrival, while staff take orders downstairs. Entry works through a combo: in 2026 reviews, 100,000 VND per person buys a drink and a snack with up to 90 minutes of play time, and there is an option to feed the cats. Drinks include salt coffee, orange coffee and teas. The cafe draws many foreign visitors exploring the Old Quarter and the railway, and its owners also run Bad Cat on Tràng Thi.
Ban Công Nam Đồng (Cafe Mèo)
Hanoi1.6 mi / 2.6 km
Ban Công Nam Đồng is a tiny cat cafe on the second floor of an old apartment block at B1 Trần Hữu Tước in Nam Đồng, Đống Đa, Hanoi, with a balcony looking out over the lake. There is no sign: take staircase 3 to the second floor, turn left and walk to the building near the end. The cafe opened in spring 2026 and keeps about five chubby, smooth-coated cats, all of them rescues, that wander between the tables, although some go out to play during the day. It works like an ordinary cafe, with drinks and simple dishes at around 30,000 VND, and the owner is welcoming to children. The quiet, home-like setting suits people who want a private corner and a few cats rather than a busy, crowded cat cafe.
Cafe Mèo Bastet's Home CS2 Trung Phụng
Hanoi1.6 mi / 2.6 km
Bastet's Home Trung Phụng is the second branch of one of Hanoi's longest-running cat cafes, which first opened in Hà Đông in 2014. Opened in 2022, this branch sits in the B42 apartment block off Ngõ Cống Trắng near Khâm Thiên in Đống Đa. Guests are seated across three floors, and the cafe says it keeps more than 30 cats, rising to over 60 at busy times, from tiny kittens to large adults of local and foreign breeds; most of them stay on the first floor. There is no charge for playing with the cats: visitors order food and drinks, with drinks around 30,000 to 45,000 VND in 2026 reviews. Shoes come off at the entrance and slippers are provided. It is open until 10:30 PM. Reviews in September and October 2026 described many cats with runny noses and fungal skin, sick cats kept among the others and a strong smell.
