The Catfe
The Catfe was a cat cafe in a renovated two-story country-style house on Bethesda School Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia, near Lawrenceville Highway. Owners Brittany and Roger Marmol opened it after seeing a cat cafe in Rome. Its resident cats, including Sugar, Cinnamon, Biscuit and Basticat, lived on the first floor among ottomans and cat towers. Visitors signed a waiver and learned the cat rules in a cat-free area before going in. The menu had coffee, beer, wine, homemade pies, sandwiches and meat-and-cheese boards, and an upstairs room could be rented for private events. It was open Wednesday to Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and it closed permanently in the summer of 2026.

Atlanta Humane Society Roswell is a cat adoption and community center on Mansell Road in Roswell, in Atlanta's northern suburbs near GA-400. Opened by the Atlanta Humane Society at the start of 2025, it is set up as a place to hang out as much as a place to adopt: alongside rooms of adoptable cats, there is a coffee bar, free Wi-Fi, a lounge area and a small shop of cat-themed goods, and visitors are welcome to drop in to spend time with the cats whether or not they plan to adopt. Anyone who finds a match can adopt on the spot through the Humane Society's usual process, with the cats already vetted. The center runs frequent free events, from mahjong lessons to dog adoption days, and hosts a weekly low-cost vaccine clinic for cats and dogs on Thursdays. It does not accept animal surrenders.
