The Cat Lounge Rescue and Adoption Center

The Cat Lounge Rescue and Adoption Center, located at 1006 Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla, California, is San Diego’s first and only non-profit cat lounge, founded in 2019 with a mission to reimagine the shelter experience. This all-women-owned and operated haven rescues cats from high-kill shelters across Southern California, providing them with full medical care—FVRCP vaccinations, microchips, deworming, and flea medication—and a cage-free, living-room-like environment where they can roam and socialize with visitors. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the lounge welcomes the public to meet adoptable cats, hosts private events, and offers affordable basic care services daily (except Mondays and Wednesdays) from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, blending adoption opportunities with community education in a cozy, compassionate setting.
