Tail Town Cats
Tail Town Cats is a nonprofit cat lounge and adoption space on East Washington Boulevard in Pasadena's East Washington Village, next door to Sarkis Pastry. Founded by Carol Warren in 2021, it works with Kitten Rescue Los Angeles and keeps 30 to 40 adoptable cats in its lounge, many of them under two years old. Visitors book a one-hour pass, open to ages 6 and up, with one adult required for every two children under 12; the last entry is an hour before closing. A monthly membership allows repeat visits. There is no cafe on site, but drinks and pastries from next door can be brought in. Kitten Rescue also holds lobby adoption hours on weekend afternoons, and more than 500 cats have been adopted since opening. Evening events include watercolor and art classes, journaling, movement classes, cat art shows, bingo and beginner mahjong nights.

Catnip Coalition Vintage Mall

Catnip Coalition Vintage Mall is a cat-themed vintage and thrift collective on Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank's Magnolia Park shopping district, with a large cat sculpture above the entrance. Opened in 2023 by Meghan Cassaday, a former vet tech, it houses dozens of vendor booths selling vintage clothing, pop-culture items, jewelry and cat art. Meow Tea

Meow Tea is a bubble tea bar with a cat adoption room inside Miko's Pet Supplies in West Covina, in South Hills Plaza next to Tokyo Central Market on South Azusa Avenue. Visitors who buy a drink, or give a small donation instead, can go into the cat room and spend time with the cats without a set time limit.
