Reading Cat Garden (讀貓園) Midway Coffee was a cat foster cafe on the second floor of a three-story building on Heping East Road, Section 3, in Da'an District, Taipei, near Linguang MRT station. It was run by Shao Tsun-ping, a fosterer who took sick and elderly cats from the hospital wards of public shelters; the building, called the Hope House, had a pet supply shop and self-service pet bath on the ground floor, the cafe on the second floor and cat care rooms above. Visitors paid a NT$100 minimum spend for coffee, waffles and light meals while spending time with cats waiting for adoption. The Heping East Road building has since closed. In 2026 the group reopened a smaller self-service adoption space, not a cafe, on Xinglong Road in Wenshan District.
