Mog on the Tyne is Newcastle's first cat cafe, nestled in the narrow Pudding Chare alley just a two-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station. The cafe features rescue cats from local organizations and charges a small admission fee that goes entirely toward cat welfare. Visitors can enjoy locally sourced food, cakes from Pet Lamb Patisserie, and specialty drinks including paw-print coffees while interacting with the resident felines. The cafe is open Tuesday through Sunday and closes daily between 3pm and 4pm for scheduled cat naps. Walk-ins are welcome, though advance booking is recommended as the cafe is popular.
