Meow-cha time
Meow-cha time is a small cat cafe at 6 Ngõ Giếng Mứt in Bạch Mai, Hai Bà Trưng, in the student area south of central Hanoi. It opened in September 2026 and is aimed at students, with a clean, quiet room for studying or working among a group of resident cats, among them a friendly cat called Tomato. Entry works by buying a drink from a menu of coffee, matcha and fruit drinks, and there are cakes too. The cats are described as well-behaved and a little shy at first, though staff are good at introducing them to customers. The cafe also leans into K-pop fandom: it hands out idol photocards and pictures with drinks and runs themed events for fans. It is open daily from morning until 10:30 PM.

Like the original on Đường Láng, it runs on a single ticket: 85,000 VND per person, or 75,000 VND for children under 12, covers time with the cats plus an unlimited buffet of drinks and snacks for up to three hours. The JennyMiaw cats are mostly pedigree breeds, including British Shorthairs and Longhairs, Ragdolls, Munchkins, Bengals, Maine Coons, Siamese and golden British cats. They are clean, well groomed and generally affectionate, happy to let guests rest a head on them, but they do not like being picked up and tend to doze in the afternoon. The branch is spacious and pleasantly scented, and staff step in firmly when children handle the cats roughly.

Its cats were rescued from slaughterhouses and now live at the cafe: a group of soft-coated, well-fed cats, including a calico and a little grey cat, that are mostly calm and not keen on being picked up. There is no entry fee; guests order a drink, such as a matcha latte or salt coffee, and settle in. The ground floor is compact around the counter, while the second floor is roomier and suits studying or working, with shelves of books, many of them second-hand, and board games, and tarot readings have been held here. The cafe fills up at weekends. Meowbook also runs a second cat cafe, Tiệm Mèo Đọc Sách, on Phan Văn Trường in Cầu Giấy.
Ban Công Nam Đồng (Cafe Mèo)
Hanoi1.7 mi / 2.7 km
Ban Công Nam Đồng is a tiny cat cafe on the second floor of an old apartment block at B1 Trần Hữu Tước in Nam Đồng, Đống Đa, Hanoi, with a balcony looking out over the lake. There is no sign: take staircase 3 to the second floor, turn left and walk to the building near the end. The cafe opened in spring 2026 and keeps about five chubby, smooth-coated cats that wander between the tables, although some go out to play during the day. It works like an ordinary cafe, with drinks and simple dishes at around 30,000 VND, and the owner is welcoming to children. The quiet, home-like setting suits people who want a private corner and a few cats rather than a busy, crowded cat cafe.
