The café was known for its selection of sweet and savory snacks, desserts, shakes, and afternoon tea packages, as well as its thoughtful policies that limited visits by children under 10 to designated hours to ensure a calm atmosphere. It also hosted popular events such as Cat Yoga sessions, blending relaxation with the therapeutic presence of cats, and encouraged advance bookings to manage capacity. After around five years of operation serving the local community, Kittea Cakes permanently closed, bringing an end to its role as a distinctive destination for cat lovers in Essex.
