MoreKot is a cat cafe in Moscow's Khamovniki district at Ostozhenka 3/14, with the entrance from 1-y Obydensky Pereulok, about five minutes on foot from Kropotkinskaya metro station. Its name is a pun: the cafe explains it as the English word more plus kot, Russian for cat, meaning “more cats”, and since more is also the Russian word for sea, the name suggests a sea of cats as well. Opened in 2023, it has two rooms, one in warm tones and one in blue, where dozens of friendly cats live with plenty of beds and toys, and all of them are looking for homes. Visitors pay by the minute for the first three hours, after which time is free, and tea, coffee, sweets and biscuits are included, as are board games. Children under 12 must come with an adult.
