Coffee Cat
Coffee Cat is a cat cafe and brunch spot on Place du Général-de-Gaulle in central Rouen, beside the Hôtel de Ville. It opened in October 2024 as a solidarity cafe run with the local rescue association Un Espoir pour Demain: the owner fosters the cats for the association, and visitors who form a bond with one can fill in an adoption form on site, after which the association handles the adoption. The cats roam the small, cosy room freely. House rules ask guests not to wake sleeping cats, force contact or feed them. The menu covers specialty coffee, matcha, teas, milkshakes, homemade pastries such as cinnamon rolls and cookies, and brunch dishes including avocado toast, with vegetarian and vegan options. Since late August 2026 it has been open seven days a week. Reservations are not taken, so visitors walk in and are seated as space allows.

Guests are asked to stroke the cats gently and never force contact, and children under 12 must stay at the table with their parents. Tables can be reserved by text message.
Au Bon'Eure des Chats
Incarville, Normandy15 mi / 24 km
Au Bon'Eure des Chats is a family-style restaurant, tea room and bar à chats in Incarville, next to Louviers in the Eure. The menu has hot and cold drinks, including specialty hot chocolates, cookies and homemade cakes with some vegan options, plus light savoury food. Board games are available. Mon Chat Pitre Versailles
Versailles, Ile De France64 mi / 103 km
Mon Chat Pitre Versailles is a general bookshop in central Versailles where rescued cats live among the shelves, part of the Mon Chat Pitre network of 'ronron-librairies' founded in Aix-en-Provence in 2021. It opened in spring 2026. The cats, all from shelters and rescue associations, roam freely, sleep in the displays and come to greet browsers, and they have their own space to retreat to. They are permanent residents rather than adoptable cats, and the shop uses its following to promote cats waiting for homes in local associations. There is no cafe or entry fee: visitors come to browse, ask the booksellers for recommendations, order titles not in stock, and spend time with the cats. The shop also sells cat-themed accessories and gifts.

The cats are not for sale or adoption, though staff point interested visitors toward animal associations. Visits must be booked and carry a per-person entry fee that includes a tea; other drinks, homemade cakes and savory snacks are optional. Children under six are not admitted, and children up to fifteen must stay beside an adult. Visitors are asked to whisper, not to pick up the cats and not to bring outside food. The Asian-inspired decor doubles as a showroom, and the furniture, mugs and plush toys are for sale.
