Chapristea
Chapristea is a neko café and salon de thé on Rue Jules Chalande in central Toulouse, between the Capitole and Esquirol métro stations, about 200 metres from Place du Capitole. Opened in 2016 as the city's first bar à chats, it has a vaulted brick room arranged for a group of around eight cats. Most were adopted from the association Le Chat Libre de Toulouse and three are pedigree cats from regional catteries; the association also places cats here for adoption, and dozens have found homes through the café. Visitors clean their hands before entering and follow the house rules. Light lunches such as tarts and salads are served from noon to 2 pm and can be booked; the rest of the day it runs as a tea room with specialist teas and pastries, and entry is free within available seats.

Every cat comes from the association Les Chats Paix Belle and lives in the café until it is adopted; about nine had found homes by early autumn 2026. Visitors follow simple rules: let sleeping cats rest, let the cats come to you, do not pick them up, take photos without flash, and keep children with an adult. There is no entry fee. Bastet Café
