貓.領事館 中港店 Catsconsulate
The Zhonggang Road shop of 貓.領事館 Catsconsulate is the original home of this rescue cat cafe, on the ground floor of a building in a residential neighbourhood at No. 360-9 Zhonggang Road, Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City, next to the Zhonggang branch library; the nearest MRT station is Xingfu. A stray-cat foster association runs it as an adoption point for New Taipei's Bali Animal Shelter, so the cats in its cat room are fosters waiting for homes. The owner introduces each cat's background and temperament, and adoptions go through the shelter's official process. Every visitor orders at least one drink (NT$150, with refills of the house teas). The owner bakes the desserts, such as caramel pudding, tarts and a tiramisu served in a mini litter tray, and savoury dishes such as truffle cream pasta are offered on some days only. Cat-themed goods are sold too. Seating is limited and the shop is mostly run by one person, so phone to book before going.
