貓客廳 Cat Living Room Cafe
貓客廳 Cat Living Room Cafe is a cat-first cafe on Fuxing Road in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, home to more than 14 resident cats, including several with special needs such as heart disease, blindness or disabilities. The care shows: the space is spotless, the litter boxes don't smell, fresh running water is everywhere and the room is filled with cat-themed decorations. Children must be at least nine years old and other pets are not allowed. There is no phone, so reservations are made by message through the Facebook page. House rules are posted clearly and should be followed. The menu offers coffee, tea, low-carb set meals, pasta, risotto, waffles and fried snacks, plus occasional off-menu specials. With one person cooking, food can take a while, which leaves plenty of time for the cats.
