Busakawa Cafe Kyoto Kawaramachi is a dog and cat cafe on the fourth floor of the Regione Building on Kawaramachi-dori opposite Kyoto BAL, about 5 minutes on foot from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station. Opened in July 2024 as a sister shop of Inu Cafe Rio Kyoto, it is built around "busakawa" (ugly-cute) animals with flat or comical faces. Small dogs such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas and Dachshunds share the room with cats including two Ragdolls, a Munchkin, a Russian Blue, a British Shorthair and an American Shorthair, and each animal has scheduled rest breaks during the day. Visits are charged per 30 minutes with a drink, then in 10-minute extensions, and treats can be bought to feed the animals. Holding the animals is not allowed. Children are welcome, and those of junior high school age or younger must come with a guardian. The cafe is open every day.

Fluffy's cafe is a cat cafe on Ura-Teramachi, just east of Shinkyogoku off Takoyakushi-dori in central Kyoto, about five minutes on foot from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station. It is the renamed and renewed form of the long-running cat cafe Wan Nyan Chu. The cafe spreads over two floors: the ground floor, formerly a cafe space, has been converted into a cat room, and the upper floor is home to the longer-serving cats.
