Cafe Narenj
Cafe Narenj is a small nostalgic cafe in central Kermanshah, on the side street opposite the Labour Office near Mosaddegh Square, on the ground floor beside the Qasr-e Pardeh building. Decorated in the style of 1970s Iran with lace curtains, wooden tables and vintage radios, it is also home to a group of resident cats, among them Narenj, Max, Konjed and Caesar, who wander the seating area and nap among the old furniture. The cats are cared for by a vet and spend part of each day in the cafe, and they are kept out of the kitchen. There is no entry fee; visitors order from a menu of coffee, tea, breakfast, pasta and cakes. The cafe has been running for around a decade and is closed on Fridays.
