Animal Caffe
Animal Caffe is a café with resident cats and other animals on Zvonimirova Street, which runs east from the centre of Zagreb towards Kvaternikov Trg. Opened in November 2025 by a married couple, it is home to their own pets. Cats are the first animals guests meet and roam freely among the tables; they include pedigree breeds such as a Maine Coon, a Sphynx, an Exotic Shorthair and a Bengal. A quieter room at the back holds terrariums with pythons, bearded dragons, a chameleon, a leopard gecko, tortoises and hedgehogs, plus a parrot and fish. Guests order coffee, hot chocolate and other drinks at the bar. House rules ask visitors to let the cats come to them, not to chase or wake them, to keep noise down and not to tap on terrarium glass or use flash. The cats have a separate room for rest, and staff explain each animal.
